Tri-Lox is a design, custom fabrication, and millwork practice that works with regionally-sourced, sustainable wood. Since its establishment in 2010, our Greenpoint-based operation has been committed to innovative design, environmental integrity, and community stewardship. Our growing business develops unique installations and products for a diverse clientele in public, commercial, residential, and exhibition spaces. 

We are seeking a creative and driven individual to support the Tri-Lox fabrication team.  Working in close collaboration with the company leadership, project managers and fabrication team, the Digital Fabrication Lead will be critically involved in engaging and diverse projects for a variety of clients. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about design, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to take on challenges independently while also working in a collaborative environment. This person will be vital in completing complex projects and furthering the company mission of social and environmental impact.

Lead CNC fabrication and associated operations - Primarily fabricating custom millwork, architectural assemblies, furniture, and art.

Assist in assembly and periodic installation of digitally fabricated components.

Production of precision RhinoCam cut files, digital models and associated shop drawings.

Collaborate in developing fabrication means and methods, production efficiency strategies, and engineering of architectural components.

Plan and oversee digital fabrication of ongoing orders for our wood products and components division.

Manage CNC machine upkeep, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Deep commitment to sustainable practices with a keen interest in architecture and design.

3-5 years of experience in Architectural Fabrication or a related industry.

Well-versed in digital fabrication and conventional construction methods.

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the fields of architecture and design or related disciplines.

Advanced knowledge of Rhino 3D and Grasshopper for parametric modeling and automated fabrication.

Experience Programming RhinoCAM for 3-Axis CNC milling.

Excellent planning and organizational skills with close attention to detail.

Ability to effectively manage time and work independently on multiple projects concurrently.

Hours: Full-time  |  Compensation: Commensurate with experience with PTO and benefits package available
